The Benefits Of Solving Word Puzzles
As opposed to solving logic puzzles like sudoku, each word puzzle provides a fresh challenge, and opportunities to learn new things. Particularly if you solve the whole range of word puzzles available here at Wordy Puzzle, then you will be testing and developing a range of word and related skills.
Whether it is learning new facts and pieces of information from solving our general knowledge crosswords, through to learning new words in our quick crosswords, or improving your visualisation skills through tackling our skeleton crosswords, there are many benefits to be had by solving word puzzles.
We also have puzzles to suit those with different abilities and amounts of time. For those of you who just have a few seconds to spare, then the word ladder is probably the best puzzle: most can be solved within thirty seconds.
For those of you who love anagrams, then why not try the word wheel puzzles? Although very simple, they can be deceptively difficult to solve - or at least to find all of the words that are cunningly concealed by the innocent-looking wheel!
If you want something really tricky, then you might like to try puzzles such as our skeleton crosswords, where you build the grid as well as work out what goes in it and where! For a more logical challenge, then you might like our code-breaking challenge that is the cryptogram, or the codeword puzzle.
We hope that you'll find many benefits from solving the word puzzles on our site, mainly satisfaction of course, but with the spin off of keeping your brain active, learning new words, new facts, and hopefully developing your skills in some other areas too.
We'd love to know what your favourite word puzzle is, and if there is anything else you'd like to see on the site: at the time of writing we have 12 word puzzles, is there anything we've missed out that you'd like to play? Do let us know via the comments section below!
